The United Workers Association trains low-wage workers on their rights, labor law, human rights, and workplace/community health and safety. They provide education and leadership development as well as advocacy skills to benefit their work, communities, personal, and public lives. Their activities include point of entry outreach and follow-up home visits to gain a better understanding of conditions in the state for identifying their next campaign. They also work on Housing Our Neighbors to create a city without homelessness in Baltimore where everyone has access to a decent, affordable home.

Program areas at United Workers Association

PPF-PA is engaging in grassroots organizing and outreach across the state of Pennsylvania to bring poor and working class people together across lines of race and geography. They do this through their Healthcare is a Human Right campaign to demand universal quality healthcare for all.
Groups that has been formed around key areas of work that members participate in as they progress within the organization. Teams include Media, Community Care, Campaign Research, Base Building,and Events.
Activities include point of entry outreach and follow up home visits that helps build out our statewide organization. This process helps us gain a better understanding of conditions in the state as we work towards identifying our next campaign.This is also a leadership development process in helping leaders learn and develop key organizing skills.
United Workers project of survival. A community garden located in West Baltimore that helps address the immediate need of access to healthy foods. It is also is a platform used for political education around the root causes of our issues and to begin introducing people to who United Workers is.
Although formal leadership education was interrupted by the restrictions of COVID-19, leadership development and political education of low-income members continued through all fair development campaign.
We are Housing Our Neighbors and we believe in Baltimore where the basic human right to housing is a reality for everyone. We work to create a city without homelessness. We believe that all people in Baltimore should have access to a decent, affordable home, and be adequately and safely housed within an atmosphere of acceptance and human dignity.
Outreach to members: Know Your Rights events, help filing forms, twice weekly distribution of food and PPE to 100 families
A series of events or protests that push the goal and purpose of our campaign.
Funding for coal dust research and remediation in a neighborhood with a high level of toxic air pollutants
Support for Staff, board, and member training and strategic planning
