Program areas at UPF
International Educational Programs 2023:1. PEACE SUMMIT 2023: UPF organized "Peace Summit 2023" to discuss peace and the resolution of conflict across the world. World Summit 2023 was held on May 2-6, 2023 on the theme, "Contemporary Challenges to Global Order: Toward a World Culture of Peace." More than 700 world leaders from 68 nations participated. Plenary speakers, both virtual and in-person, included former US president Donald Trump, Hon. Mike Pompeo of the USA, H.E. Macky Sall of Senegal, H.E. Aziz Rajapaksa of Sri Lanka, and H.E. Brigi Ragini of Niger. The 6th Think Tank Forum: The forum, convened on May 6, 2023 in Korea, during the Peace Summit 2023, featured a plenary address from Dr. Michael Pillsbury, senior fellow for China Strategy at the Hudson Institute, Washington D.C. International Association of Youth and Students for Peace: ISYSP gather more than 500 youth from across the world for a special session on the role of youth in building a world of lasting peace.2. REGIONAL INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCES: ILC events were held by UPF's regional offices, including INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE CAMBODIA 2023: On July 21-24, 2023, UPF sponsored an International Leadership Conference, in cooperation with the Asia Vision Institute and the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace. More than 250 leaders from 50 nations were in attendance. INTERNATIONAL SUMMIT COUNCIL FOR PEACE AND SRI LANKAN PARLIAMENT CONFERENCE: ISCP, together with the Parliament of Sri Lanka, convened a conference on December 6, 2023 on the theme "Accountability in Action: Fostering Transparency and Good Governance Among Parliamentarians. There were 150 participants from six Asian nations. ILC MOZAMBIQUE: On January 7-8. 2023, in Maputo, Mozambique, an ILC for 100 participants was convened on the topic, "Innovative Solutions for Peace in Africa: The Central Role of Parliamentarians and Spiritual Leaders."3. OTHER ACTIVITIES UPF Association Programs: Featured a focus on topics and speakers directly related to one of our pillar Associations of UPF: ISCP, IAPP, IAPD, IMAP, IAED, IAAP, IAACP, and IAFLP as well as close partners such as WFWP/GPWN, YSP/IAYSP, etc. The Peace Road Initiative: UPF chapters hosted numerous programs in support of an international highway as a global goodwill symbol for world peace. Unification Theological Seminary: UPF worked collaboratively with UTS to support the Master of Arts in Peace Studies program, and to facilitate UPF contacts to speak at UTS forums UPF Partner Organizations: UPF teamed with our partner organizations, including, CEN-SAD, Asian Vision Institute, Heritage and Cultural Studies in the Holy Land, and the Coalition of Faith-Based Organizations. UPF Statements: UPF issued statements on timely and critical issues, including support for the establishment of an Asia Pacific Union.
UPF Publications and Communications:UPF ENews and Website Development: UPF ENews has a worldwide network of 10,000 followers. Activity reports are submitted to UPF International from 7 UPF Regions, and are posted on the website, with photos, and disseminated regularly around the world. Publishing Dialogue & Alliance: Dialogue & Alliance Interfaith Journal promotes understanding among people of faith for the sake of peace. The journal is indexed at the American Theological Library Association (ATLA). For the past 30 years, it publishes two issues each per year. More than 300 subscribe to the journal. Publishing UPF Today: UPF Today magazine features activities of our international office and chapters throughout the world.Coordinating Worldwide Regions and Chapters: UPF is composed of 7 Regions, headed by Regional Chairs. The following are the Regions: Africa; Asia Pacific; Europe, Eurasia and Middle East; Japan; Korea; Latin America (Central America and the Caribbean, and South America); and North America. UPF has a peacebuilding network of 120,000 Ambassadors for Peace who work together for peacebuilding, peace education and the strengthening of marriage and the family. UPF International coordinates all activities of the Worldwide Chapters.

Every year in October, the Committee holds a significant event which honors 4 distinguished VIPs with "The Spirit of the UN Award" right before the celebration of the Foundation Day of the UN on October 24th.
