First Accomplishment: ENDOWMENTS, AWARDS, AND EDUCATION The Guild supports awards and education for students at the colleges of the J. Hillis Miller Health Science Center at the University of FL. During the 2020 tax year, the Medical Guild donated $126,671 to the UF Foundation to endow the UF MEDICAL GUILD GRADUATE RESEARCH AWARD FOR BIOMEDICAL SCIENCE INTERDISCIPLINARY PROGRAMS fund. $8,000 was provided to the UF College of Medicine Graduate Research Award. $3,000 was provided to the UF College of Medicine Advancement to Candidacy Award, and $2,000 to the College of Medicine Maren Award. Hillis Miller Health Science Center at the University of Florida. The following grants were funded: Patient and Family Resources $8000. These funds allow this department to help hospitalized patients and their families financially as needs arise. Improving Early Mobility/Safety in Bed ICU Surgery Patients $7,999. Second Accomplishment: COMMUNITY SUPPORT AND EDUCATION. The Medical Guild financially supports community programs for health, health education and well-being. Funds were donated to Community Health and Family Medicine (Meeting patients where they are) $8,000. SWAG Family Resource Center (Care for Kids) $8,000. ACORN Clinic (Clinic Dental Home) $8,000.Center for Precollegiate Education and Training at University of Florida; $5000 for a virtual Mini Medical School Program to benefit Florida high school teachers and students.
