Program areas at University of Louisiana Monroe Facilities

The University of Louisiana Monroe Facilities was formed for the benefit of the University of Louisiana Monroe and its principal purpose is to coordinate, construct, and finance the development of Facilities on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Monroe and to oversee the management of such Facilities. Certain operations are regulated by the board of supervisors for the University of Louisiana system, the Louisiana local government environmental Facilities and community development authority, and regions bank through the provisions of a ground and buildings lease agreement, a Facilities lease agreement, a loan and assignment agreement, and a trust indenture, including amendments and supplements, as applicable. The University of Louisiana Monroe Facilities has completed the new construction and/or renovation of some ten (10) housing units, student health center, student union, the clarke m. williams student success center, and the installation/construction of scoreboards, chair-back seating, and dugouts at various athletic venues on the campus of University of Louisiana Monroe and the installation of two electronic display boards. In 2014, the University of Louisiana Monroe Facilities has entered into agreements to install new artificial turf and drainage system for malone stadium; development of a doppler radar facility; and construction of the international student facility. In 2015, the University of Monroe Facilities has entered into agreements with the University of Louisiana at Monroe and the University of Louisiana Monroe athletic foundation, Inc. to construct the field house at the University of Louisiana Monroe malone stadium. Also in 2015, the organization has entered into contracts for the construction of the doppler radar; renovation of masur hall; and paving of commons ii parking lot; all on the campus of the University of Louisiana Monroe. In 2016, the organization completed installation of the new artificial turf and drainage system as well as the field house at the University of Louisiana Monroe malone stadium. In addition, the renovation of masur hall and the paving of commons ii parking lot was completed in 2016. The organization entered into a ground lease and a Facilities lease agreement in 2016 for the purpose of developing, designing, renovating and constructing a student center on the campus of the University of Louisiana Monroe. In 2017, the organization entered into a ground lease and a Facilities lease agreement for the purpose of acquiring, designing, developing, constructing and renovating the reconstruction of brown stadium and parking adjacent thereto on the campus of the University of Louisiana at Monroe. During the year ended june 30, 2018, the doppler radar and student event center were completed. Also, during the year ended june 30, 2018, the Facilities entered into a ground and Facilities lease agreement with the board of supervisors of ulm, on behalf of ulm, for the purpose of constructing, designing, testing, surveying, and equipping an area of malone stadium into a new athletic treatment facility. This new athletic treatment facility was completed during the year ended june 30, 2019. Also, during the year ended june 30, 2019, the Facilities entered into a ground and Facilities lease agreement with the board of supervisors for the University of Louisiana system, on behalf of ulm, for the purpose of developing and constructing a golf house and the wally jones golf complex. The reconstruction of brown stadium and parking adjacent thereto were completed during the year ended june 30, 2020. Also, during the year ended june 30, 2020, the wally jones golf complex was completed. During the year ended june 30, 2021, the organization entered into a ground and Facilities lease agreement with the board, on behalf of ulm, for the purpose of construction, developing, designing, constructing, and equipping the new student hub facility. This project was completed in august of 2022 and the Facilities were placed into service. On march 1, 2022, the organization entered into a cooperative endeavor agreement with ulm and the ulm foundation whereby the organization will facilitate and oversee the devlopment, design, and constructon of a construction laboratory facility on land owned by the organization and adjacent to the ulm school of construction management on the ulm campus. During the year ended june 30, 2023, the organization entered into a ground and Facilities lease agreement with the board, on behalf of ulm, for the purpose of developing, designing, constructing, and equipping the softball student athlete leadership center. In connection with the softball project, the organization contracted with various professionals required to complete the project. Ownership of the facility was transferred to ulm during the year ended june 30, 2023. During the year ended june 30, 2023, the organization entered into a ground and Facilities lease agreement with the board, on behalf of ulm, for the purpose of constructing drainage and installing an artificial turf field on the ulm campus for the ulm softball team. During the year ended june 30, 2023, the organization entered into a ground and Facilities lease agreement with the board, on behalf of ulm, for the purpose of constructing drainage and installing an artificial turf field at malone stadium on the ulm campus. During the year ended june 30, 2023, the organization entered into a ground and Facilities lease agreement with the board, on behalf of ulm, for the purpose of constructing a short game practice facility at the wally jones golf complex on the ulm campus.
