Program areas at University of Wyoming Alumni Association
Alumni gathering and networking opportunities - the Association hosts various functions for Alumni and former students in conjunction with and independent of other University activities. These gatherings promote Alumni engagement with the University and increase affinity for it. They also allow Alumni to connect with each other. The goal of these activities centers on engagement, rather than prospect development.
Scholarships and awards - the Association's scholarship program, along with others it administer's, awards four year awards to deserving students. The annual scholarship club auction raises additional funds for this initiative, which is designed to support the University of Wyoming and it's students. Also included in this category are awards that recognize teaching and learning excellence in uw's faculty and other awards given to support University initiatives.
Alumnews - the alumnews is the Association's quarterly publication. The University of Wyoming and it's former students are the subject of the articles, which are designed to increase support of and affinity for the University. The publication is mailed to members quarterly; inactive members receive the publication annually to solicit membership renewal.
