Up Global ceased operations mid-year 2015. The operations for the remaining six months of the year were to wind down the organization. The major programs for the first half of the year were as follows:events - startup weekend is a 54-hour, weekend-long event of hands on training on what it actually takes to launch a business. We connect real people with real problems, and help them learn how to build viable solutions. It is often described as a real world mba in a weekend. During 2014, startup weekend held approximately 1,265 events around the world. We also launched next, a 4-5 day educational training, held over multiple weeks, which goes into greater hands on detail of different areas of launching and running a business.leadership training - we train and educate people who are passionate about doing good things for their community, and are helping to support their startup ecosystem, who want to learn how to be the best leaders possible. This serves as quality control for all of our activities as well as building a powerful network of influential, grassroots leaders around the world.
