Upbeat NYC uses the pursuit of musical excellence and ensemble performance to bring about positive change in the lives of South Bronx children. The organization provides intensive musical engagement throughout participants' childhood, adolescent, and young adult years. The program operates year-round, 5 days/week during after-school hours and 4 weeks over the summer. Through virtual and in-person programming, 100 participants are engaged multiple times per week attending private lessons, group classes, small ensemble rehearsals.
