Program areas at Upcountry Strong
The organization distributed purchased or donated food at a previously advertised location up to 12 times in 2023 to 1540 registered Upcountry households in need. After the wildfires on maui the organization opened a hub and registered Upcountry residents were able to pick up their boxes with food at the hub.
After the wildfires on august 07, 2023 (fema dr-4724-hi) the organizattion opened a hub to accommodate the overwhelming support for the victims of the wildfires. Financial support and in kind donations were used to purchase food, household goods, clothing etc. A total of 14799 residents including 5,296 children were supported through this temporary program that subsequently was integrated in the food support program outlined in line 4a.
