English as a second Inquage classes for refugees - Through our ESL program we were able to teach more than 200 refugee students from several different countries English literacy and conversation. We were able to help them to better understand local culture and Provide free childcare to more than 100 children of refugees while they participated in classes. We were also able toreachoutto Student's families and others in the community through special events that served over 500 people to promote peace and reconcilliation in the refugee and immigrant comminty in Houston. This program utilited more than 60 volunteers
Refugee Relief - Our refugee relief program provides hands on relief for refugees from several countries both in the United States and Overseas We partner with Churchs and NGO's to distribute supplies, as well as vulnprovide education and economic opportunity for " ~~ Vulnerable refugees who are fleeing violence and oppression. Together with our partners we have served over 5000 families offering them dignity and providing hope in the midst of loss. We mobilized 20 people to take part in 3 different relief trips to serve Syrian and Iwaqi Families im Jordan
Cultural Awareness Training - We provide cultural awareness training to those interested to those interested in learningmore about how to love and serve immigrants and refugees, promoting peace and reconcilliation We trained more than 200 people at churches and other organizations in 2016 Many were mobilized to participate in our ESL classes and Refugee Relief programs
