Usdan Summer Camp for the artsusdan is the nation's preeminent not-for-profit day Camp for the Arts. the Camp has been profiled in the new york times and time magazine and has been named a "best of" Camp by timeout ny/kids and ny metro parents. for over 50 years, Usdan has provided all-day, summertime Arts instruction to youth ages 5-18 from across long island and the nyc metro area. In 2022, 1481 students attended over the 8 weeks. Students receive instruction in art, Creative writing, dance, music, theater, nature & sustainability, chess, recreational Arts, and discovery (for k-1). (see schedule o for continuation). Every Summer, world-class visiting artists perform alongside students in daily festival performances and create original artwork with the students. On 140 acres of natural beauty, the students find the literal and metaphoric space to push their existing talents and delve into new ones.

Camp scholarship program since Usdan's founding in 1968, a guiding value has been to provide access to Usdan's inimitable Arts education experience to students of all economic backgrounds. Our board and staff remain committed to a founding vision that all children deserve access to the invaluable resources Usdan offers, regardless of background. This year, Usdan offered over $3.32 million in scholarships, tuition assistance, and discounts to 1223 students.

Community partners programto ensure year-round access to the resources of our campus for the Usdan community, we have initiated a variety of new programs that offer use of our pristine woodland site and facilities to a diverse range of our community partners. These partnerships include off-season Creative residencies for artists, cultural and nature-based programming available to the general public, as well as providing space for community members and organizations to host their own festivals, performances, celebrations and cultural events.
