Description
Utah Dispute Resolution exists to provide residents of Utah with quality mediation services, information and training in dispute resolution, and the means to successfully, informally and cooperatively resolve disputes. Dedicated to providing mediation and other conflict resolution services and training to residents in Utah. UDR uses trained, qualified volunteer mediators to provide services. Domestic mattersudr managed 564 domestic matters cases in ty2023/ fy2024, down from 582 in ty 2023. Of these cases, 292 resulted in convened mediations. A total of 147, or 50.3%, of these mediations resulted in full agreement. 35 cases, or 12.0%, resulted in partial agreement, and 110 or 37.7%, were not resolved. 51.8% of cases opened were converted to mediated cases, up from 50.3% in the prior year.the average cost to manage a case was $315, up from $271 in the prior tax year.
In ty 2023/fy 2024, udr separated its assisted pro se (aps) operations into seperate group. The group continues to assist family courts in provide mediation services to low-income families as part of required court appearances. Udr opened 146 aps cases in ty 2023/fy 2024. Udr mediated 103 of cases opened. 41 of the mediated cases resulted in full acceptance, 15 cases resulted in partial acceptance and 47 cases were not resolved.udr spent a total of $19,440 opening and managing these cases, resulting in an avaerage of $133 per case opened.
Training programudr trained 86 participants in 7 public online webinars. Udr also provided 7 private workplace training seminars to 97 participants. Ths cost to train the average participant was $202, down from $240 in the prior tax year.
