Epa Energy star services and home Energy ratings: provided Energy star or home Energy rating certifications for 962 housing units (245 were low income or public housing units, done as a fee for service or as discounted services). Trained 3 new builders on epa Energy star standards. Provided ongoing support for 21 existing Energy star builders. Filed quarterly reports with the epa with details on homes built and certified as Energy star homes. Performed 141 blower door tests and 77 duct blaster tests on a fee for service basis to verify building code air infiltration standards.
Energy Conservation education and Energy code training and education: sent out a semi-annual newsletter to approximately 120 builders and inspectors to help educate them on current codes and new developments in Energy Conservation best building practices. Maintained a web page with information on current Energy codes (106,431 visits from 33,964 visitors). Issued 73 press releases or web posts. Offered training sessions on Energy Conservation or Energy codes. In addition, we did 10 individual consultations. We participated in 10 events on Energy Conservation that had 25-30 visitors for each event. Our executive director served on the mechanical advisory committee of the Utah building commission to review icc building codes, the Utah valley home builders association governmental affairs committee, and the icc committee for code training.
Energy rater services: provided training and support services and quality assurance monitoring for 11 independent home Energy raters, who performed a total of 3000 home Energy efficiency ratings or epa Energy star certifications. We verified that their equipment met calibration standards and received reports from them on their continuing education credits.
