The Utah Foster Care Foundation serves Utah's children by finding, educating, and nurturing families to meet the needs of children in foster care. During fy 2022, it rolled out its new learning management system to more efficiently track trainings required to keep current and future prospective licensed Foster parents up to date with all state requirements. UFC continued customizing its services.

Program areas at Utah Foster Care Foundation

In fiscal year 2023, Utah Foster Care recruited and trained over 400 families who were willing to provide safe and loving homes for children in need. Utah Foster Care had 781 consultations with prospective Foster parents and held 224 support meetings with currently licensed Foster parents. 2,278 hours of live training was provided to current and prospective Foster families. Beginning january 1st, 2023, Utah Foster Care initiated its new clinical program. This program was rolled out to help licensed Foster families cope with trauma-based experiences with the help of clinically licensed staff members. From january 1, 2023 thru june 30th, 2023, Utah Foster Care worked with 309 families in both group and individual sessions. The program plans to expand in future fiscal years.
