Description
The Vail Veterans Foundation provides innovative and transformational programs that build confidence and improve the lives of military injured and their families. Caregivers participate in self-awareness programs, yoga, meditation, outdoor recreation, spa treatments, and group meals at no cost to them. The Vail Veterans program enables individual families to continue in the healing process by returning as participants, also at no cost. The foundation supports alumni and others through further program services.

Program areas at Vail Veterans Foundation

Winter recreational programs (including skiing, snowboarding, and cross country skiing) for severely wounded Veterans and their families, provided at no cost to participants.
Summer recreational programs (including whitewater rafting, ziplining, horseback riding, fly fishing, golf, mountain biking, for severely wounded Veterans and their families, provided at no cost to participants.
Caregivers programs support caregivers of wounded service members, through participation in self-awareness programs, yoga, meditation, outdoor recreation, spa treatments, and group meals; all provided at no cost to participants. The caregivers retreat program encourages caregivers of wounded Veterans to connect with others experiencing similar challenges, provides them with sustainable tools to incorporate into their daily lives, and offering them the opportunity to relax and rejuvenate in a safe and comfortable environment. Caregivers retreat alumni are invited back to continue their healing journey, and build upon the skills and communities gained during the caregivers retreat.
Other program services include Vail Veterans program, which allows for individual families to continue in the healing process by returning as a participant; all provided at no cost to participants. Our mission continues supports alumni and others through the covid-19 pandemic by enhancing the well-being of wounded Veterans at home and lets them know the Foundation is there for them as they continue their journey of healing.
