The Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce Foundation

The fairfax county Chamber of Commerce scholarship fund (The valor fund) was established in 1989 for The purpose of establishing and managing a scholarship fund, which provides post-secondary educational grants to The children of medal of valor recipients. Since The inception of The valor awards ceremony nearly 450 police officers, firefighters, and sheriff's deputies have received medals of valor for their heroic acts. The valor fund's principal source of revenue is contributions from members of The Chamber and other organizations. During The next five years The valor fund hopes to distribute more than $100,000 in post-secondary education grants. During 2016, The organization awarded 18 scholarships to pursue higher education opportunities to The children of valor award winners.
