Program areas at Coffee with A Cause
Rosebud Coffee is fully owned by Coffee With A Cause and serves as an on-site internship location for job-readiness training, specifically for transitional-age youth (ages 16-24) who have experienced foster care, homelessness, or justice system involvement. The program aims to help these young people find a pathway to sustainable employment and long-term careers. Over 90% of job-seeking program graduates secured employment within three months. In 2023, 10 youth received job training and hands-on work experience at Rosebud Coffee, which can lead to Barista Certification from the Specialty Coffee Association, giving them a competitive edge in their future job search. Overall, 23 youth were placed into paid internships at Rosebud Coffee and our partnering internship sites to prepare for meaningful employment upon graduation.
To improve the lives of youth and adults by teaching the knowledge, skills, and service competencies through classroom training, hands-on job training, and employment opportunities within the food and beverage service industry that are supported by local, hositable communities.
