Ventura County Legal Aid provides low cost and free legal advice, as their primary mission. In 2022, VCLA, Inc. served 173 clients through its Legal Advice Clinic, where attorneys donated approximately 189.5 pro bono hours for those clients. The Legal Eviction Prevention Assistance program also served 308 clients, with some of those clients being included in the aforementioned number.

Program areas at Ventura County Legal Aid

In 2023, VCLA, Inc. served 297 clients through its Legal Advice Clinic. Approximately 290 pro bono hours were donated by attorneys for the 297 clients for the walk in clinic. The Elder Program assisted county residents 60 years or older with a variety of civil legal issues. The attorneys dedicated to the AAA program helped 283 people and logged 967 hours. The Family Justice Center program is a partnership with Ventura County's District Attorney's Office to assist victims of sexual assault. The two attorneys assigned to the FJC assisted 365 and worked 2742 hours. Of the 365 cases, 139 had at least one follow-up interaction.
