Long term disability insurance: VCPPOA has contracted with the California Law Enforcement Association for their long term disability insurance. The organization reviews the long term disability cost annually and shops for the most comprehensive coverage for its members at the most cost effective rate.
Legal services: VCPPOA has contracted with the same firm since early 2001 to handle all aspects of contract and labor negotiations. Contract negoatiations took place in 2021, leading to an increase in expenses for legal fees.
Legal defense fund:VCPPOA members are provided representation in civil, criminal, and administrative disciplinary actions through PORAC legal defense fund. The legal defense fund pays for all related costs of the cases they handle.
