Description
Vermont Interfaith Action empowers and engages citizens through its grassroots coalition of congregations. Our mission is to create hope, power, knowledge, and political will to make compassion and social justice a reality. We have passed prop 2 ballot to amend the state constitution to abolish slavery without exception and worked towards dismantling systemic racism regarding economic opportunities for people of color while reimagining public safety.

Our three largest program services were (1) passing prop 2 ballot to amend the state constitution to abolish slavery without exception, (2) dismantling systemic racism regarding economic opportunities for people of color and reimagining public safety to make it more equitable, and (3) to press the Vermont state government for investment and comprehensive plans in sheltering the unhoused and providing more affordable housing in general.
