Program areas at Village Voices International
A reverse osmosis system is the only option for this village to obtain safe drinking water. The RO system was installed in 2021. In 2022 a solar powered pumping station was installed at the treatment house to provide a means of filling a water bowser for delivery to the village water tanks. In 2023 water delivery equipment (tractor and bowser), electric connection to increase water production and construction of two additional water taps.
Other program accomplishments include paying tuition and board for a student to attend her 4th year in the Community Health Assistant program at the Kenya Medical Training College, and paying tuition, board and fees for two students who completed their skills training (electrician and plumber) at the Kenyan Industrial Training Institute.
