Through extensive communications and planning with our sister organization in malawi (Villages in Partnership international), vip supported the following development projects (through grants and in-kind donations of project supplies) among others in 2022; provided access to safe, clean water to 5,262, comprising 94% of our households in the our impact area; over 4,000 medical patients and 1,400 dental treated by a team of malawian & u.s. medics; broke ground on the khanda health center, which will bring medical services to 30,000 underserved people in rural Villages; provided scholarships to 100 secondary students and 17 university students; planted 2,200 tress to combact deforestation; vaccinated 20,533 chickens against the new castle disease; installed 128 concrete sanitation platform covers over pit laterns to promote safe sanitation and health practices; $30,000 saved by participants in vip's village savings & loans clubs; and 353kg of honey harvested for sale at local markets.
