Program areas at Virginia Biotechnology Association
In september 2022, Virginia bio hosted the 7th annual women building bio conference in person on the campus of old dominion university. Over 125 people attended this full day conference led by Virginia women designed to create new and productive collaborations among leading women and men in research and industry in Virginia and the region.
The Association continues to sponsor frequent networking programs for the life science professionals. These events included a luncheon lecture series (both in person and virtual) and young professional networking events (biotech & beers).
In january 2023, Virginia bio hosted the Virginia reception at the jpmorgan healthcare conference at the mark hopkins in san francisco. This event hosted Virginia industry leaders, emerging fast-growth companies, innovative technology creators, members of the investment community and Virginia research universities doing cutting edge research. We also provided meeting space for members during the conference.
