Virginia German Shepherd Rescue is an all volunteer organization that rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes German Shepherds (and sometimes other breeds/mixes) who have been abandoned. In 2022, the Rescue cared for or placed 222 dogs. They take in dogs from various situations and rehabilitate them to good health before placing them into loving homes. If a dog cannot be placed immediately into a foster or permanent home, the Rescue provides a safe haven for them.
