Program areas at VisionSynergy
DEVELOPING NETWORKS: We coach and advise Christian network leaders to facilitate multi-organizational collaboration for exponential impact. In the past year, two cohorts from the South Asia region completed our Synergy Catalyst Program (SCP), including 12 graduates from our first Nepal cohort and 11 graduates from our third India cohort. To date, five cohorts including 56 leaders have completed this 18-month program in South Asia. We launched our first SCP in Egypt with 16 leaders who have already started 11 networks, with more in development. To make this program more accessible to local leaders, VisionSynergy resources were translated and are being taught in Arabic. This is our first SCP to be offered entirely in a local language - a major milestone for our ministry! In all regions, our SCP leaders launched 63 new networks in 2023.
ADVOCATING FOR COLLABORATION: We advocate for increased collaboration in the Christian mission movement through speaking engagements and publications that inform and inspire. We gave keynote and other presentations at 13 events during the year, sharing the benefits and life-changing stories of collaboration with over 2,400 people. We distributed over 530 copies of our book Well Connected in local languages in South Asia.In Thailand and Taiwan we cast vision for collaboration among Chinese, Taiwanese and International partners. We had a unique opportunity to share the vision and principles of Kingdom Collaboration with a group of 25 Chinese sending agencies, house churches, and mission teams focused on reaching Unreached Peoples in China.
EQUIPPING NETWORK LEADERS: We facilitate learning experiences among mission network leaders that foster peer learning and connection. We equipped a total of 1,340 leaders. This included over 300 in Nepal from six of the seven provinces. In India, two strategic events were organized to foster increased collaboration among leaders working among frontier people groups in nearby regions. Participants included leaders from high caste Hindu, Muslim and Sikh backgrounds, raising their awareness of each other's ministries and resulting in several new networks. We equipped over 600 church leaders across Egypt through 20 Synergy Summits and Network Journey workshops. These resulted in the start of 13 new networks focused on uniting churches and ministries focused on Community Development, Youth, Discipleship, Women's Issues and more. In Taiwan we provided collaboration training for over 100 mission leaders from Taiwan, Thailand, America, Australia, and the Philippines. We facilitated a collaborative planning team which hosted Beijing Brief, a gathering that brought together 115 international leaders involved in China ministry. This has led to the formation of eight focus groups for collaboration in various ministry areas.
