Program areas at Visitor Studies Association
Annual conference. Vsa delivers two primary professional development activities, one an annual conference, and a number of workshops. In 2016, 200 individuals from across the us and beyond participated in a 3-day annual conference which focused on the theme "taking action for improvement, growth, and social change". Workshop topics included a focus on methods, tools, and techniques for evaluation, statistical analysis, using logic models, and evaluation capacity building. There were 105 registrations for the conference workshops.
Award program
SCHOLARLY JOURNAL. VSA publishes Visitor Studies Journal, which is the leading peer-reviewed journal for the field of Visitor Studies. The journal is published twice a year, has nearly 450 subscribers, and is available online for approximately 900 libraries.
