Fema funds for covid-19 vaccination: from 2021 to 2022 the organization received $20,237,918 through the puerto rico department of health to maintain permanent vaccination centers around puerto rico to conduct community vaccination efforts against covid-19. Through an educational campaign, the organization informed the people of the risks of covid-19 and the importance of getting the vaccine. During 2021 there were seven vaccination centers operating and a total of 828,000 vaccine doses were administrated. This program was extended until december 2022.
Hpv campaigns - various educational campaigns and activities to raise awareness about hpv, related cancers and promote prevension through vaccination.
Other programs in place during 2022 are related to efforts towards inmunization against influenza as a prevention of cronic covid 19 infections amongst the population, and virtual inmunization conference events that helps to educate about the importance of inmunization through vaccination for health professionals.
