Program areas at Volta Music Foundation

Afterschool Music program: the afterschool program, a unique initiative, breaks systematic barriers in Music education by providing free instruments, classes, and performance opportunities to students in title i schools in south Florida. Volta's partnerships with community centers in pompano beach, boys and girls clubs of broward county, and several title i schools in south Florida enable us to deliver this program weekly. Volta's impact on 200 students in this program, with weekly instructions and several performances at prestigious venues like kravis performing arts center, pompano beach amphitheater, and the pompano beach cultural center, is a testament to the power of Music education. Link up: link up is a Music education program that carnegie hall's weill Music institute created to unite the classroom with the concert hall. It gives students in grades 3-5 the opportunity to explore Music through a yearlong curriculum of classroom activities and a culminating concert in which students perform with a professional orchestra. Through this program, Volta was able to impact the lives of 1,800 registered students. Volta provided free instruments (recorders) and a unique experience through Volta mentor's visits, who reinforced and supported the Music learning during the school year. This program culminated with a symphony orchestra concert at lynn university and the parker. Volta Music Foundation has partnered with carnegie hall to provide the link up curriculum to thousands of students in south Florida. Through this partnership, we support and strengthen education programs in elementary and local schools and provide high-quality curricula, resources, professional development, and other support to ensure that students engage in a meaningful musical experience and gain a lifelong appreciation for Music. Outreach: through Volta's outreach program, our teaching artists were able to connect with thousands of members of the community's audience. Volta has performed at children's hospitals, community centers, public schools, city parks, libraries, and memory care centers. This program allowed our team to perform live Music to several audience demographics in Florida and connect with families through arts and crafts activities and Music therapy-inspired engagement.
