VoteRunLead's mission is to empower women by providing nonpartisan training and educational opportunities that help them increase their civic participation and leadership skills in their communities. Since 2014, the organization has trained over 55,000 women to run for office and win, with nearly 60% of whom being women of color and 20% from rural America. In the 2022 election cycle, VoteRunLead continued its role as a top-tier educational leader.

Program areas at Voterunlead Run Lead

Since 2014, voterunlead has trained more than 55,000 women to Run for office. In 2023, voterunlead/action trained 284 unique individuals, 60% who identified as a woman or gender-nonconforming person of color. One in five was from a rural area; one in four was from a lower-income household. In this election "off-year," sixty-two of our alumni ran for office; 76% of them won their races. Sixty-five percent of the alumni running for office were women of color; their win-rate was 78%.
