Program areas at Wabaunsee County Fair Association

The primary achievement and purpose of the Association is to organize and operate the annual County Fair. The 4 day event the end of july is for displaying the projects of the 156 4-h youth and 45 community members. In 2023 approximately 4500 community members attended the Fair. The fairground and its facilities are also open and maintained year around for use by 4-h and other community groups.
A highlight of the Fair is the annual Fair auction. In 2023, 116 youth showed and sold 81 animals. This is the first auction for many of the young exhibitors. They receive positive feedback and collected $81628 directly from the sale for their hard work.
