Program areas at Wags and Whiskers Pet Rescue / Willow's Wags and Whiskers
During 2023, Wags and Whiskers continued to support the community in dealing with the changes in the world during the ebbing pandemic. Many people were still struggling financially and Wags and Whiskers provided low vet cost services to the community to help. Throughout 2023, Wags and Whiskers Pet Rescue continued to complete neuters and spays for animals in the community in order to help slow the growth if the Pet population in butte county and the surrounding areas. The shelters continued to be overwhelmed with strays and animals that were relinquished due to financial struggles and people who returned the animals that they adopted during the covid-19 pandemic but now can no longer care for them. Wags and Whiskers Pet Rescue supported the shelters by pulling as many dogs and cats as possible into the Rescue program and placing them into loving foster homes.
