Wake Up Carolina's recovery program awarded 15 treatment scholarships totaling $23,497.67, 4,701 individual recovery coaching sessions; 762 individuals attended; 91 general recovery group sessions facilitated with wuc staff; 1,153 family members attended; 115 family-oriented recovery groups facilitated by wuc staff; 151 individuals attended 17 "other type" recovery groups facilitated by wcu staff; 490 individuals referred to recovery housing
Wake Up Carolina's harm reduction program distributed 813 narcan kits and trained 839 people in overdose prevention and narcan; distributed 2,875 fentanyl testing strips; tested 235 individuals for hiv and hcv with south Carolina in the top 3 states leading the country in new cases and wuc is only one of three organizations in sc to be able to do this testing.
Wake Up Carolina's community education and awareness program had 13,397 recovery service encounters by community members served; 32,327 unduplicated community members served; 5,679 community members engaged in general community education and awareness events through wuc open houses, town halls, football and soccer tournaments, area middle and high schools.
Wake Up Carolina offers assistance to affected individuals and their families by providing a safe space, peer-support, coaching, training, testing strips, and weekly meetings that aim to bring awareness, education, and hope to those affected. These programs include dad2dad, mother's gathering, creighton house, creighton's night out, virtual sibling support, and stepping stones.
