The Washington Housing Conservancy preserves affordable workforce housing and serves as stewards for long-term affordability in the Washington area. It establishes programs and services to ensure adherence with affordability covenants and preserves homes that are affordable for residents. Additionally, WHC assesses community needs and builds partnerships with service providers. It acquires and owns units of affordable housing to achieve the goal of stabilizing rents, preventing displacement, and creating communities where moderate to low-income residents and their families want to be.
