Washington Shotokan Association

The organization provided specialized series of martial arts training classes to an estimated 300-350 students of martial arts. About 15-20 classes a week are held at various training sites in the greater king county area. Tests are given to determine skill improvements of the students and andvanced classes for higher skill levels are offered that can eventually allow the student to earn a black belt - the top skill level. These classes, in addition to teaching the skills, also teach the student the creed of karate to respect others, engage in non-violent behavior, and there are an estimated 15-20 volunteer instructors that lead these various skill level classes and they are managed by the administrator of this entity.
