WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY / Snohomish County 4-H Horse Program creates supportive environments for youth and families to reach their fullest potential through foundation and mission driven equine science, teaching life skills that lead young people to become self-directing, positive, contributing community members. The program hosts 16 equine shows, 17 educational workshops, and 25 equine science knowledge contests to increase participants' life skills such as responsibility, wise use of resources, sense of belonging and critical thinking.
