Well educates and trains local Latino elected officials about California Water policy to promote timely and equitable actions that serve to develop a robust economy, healthy communities, and a resilient environment for all californians. The WELL 2021 Virtual Conference on May 27th aims to bring the link between water and the economy into the spotlight. While the world remains focused on the ongoing pandemic and subsequent economic challenges, WELL will highlight. See Section O.

Program areas at Water Education for Latino Leaders

Conference each year we bring together Leaders from across California with the aim of helping them learn best practices in Water management, innovative solutions to the challenges of supplying a cost-effective and reliable supply of Water, and how to better access financial resources that address both. Conference speakers share their knowledge to help local Leaders drive solutions for Californian's Water challenges.
The 10-year celebration brought together wells leadership, wellos (graduates of the well untapped fellowship), and our key supporters. The wellos consist of californias mayors, city council members, county supervisors, school board members, and Water district directors. The celebration incorporated a program that consisted of two leadership panels. The first panel, where California Latino legislators who spoke about why it is important for local elected officials to have an organization like well educate them on ca Water policy. The second panel was made up of wello's who shared their experience going through the well untapped fellowship program.
Untapped building on its success in Water Education, well launched the well untapped, a selective, six-month program for local elected Leaders aimed at deepening their understanding of California Water policy and its many challenges. The untapped program creates an opportunity for local Leaders to examine Water issues with respect to history, governance, public policy, geography, economic, human rights, and climate change.
