Program areas at We Care Arts
In 2023, WCA provided nearly 25,000 hours of programming and served over 1,325 individuals living with disabilities, addiction, and mental health diagnoses in the Greater Miami Valley. These individuals participated in programming through the on-site and virtual programming, off-site community outreach programming, and High School Indiviualized Education Program (IEP) Transition to work partnerships. The WCA art programming utilizes art as a means for empowering healing through art and community which can positively impact key social determinants of health by promoting independence, self-advocacy, a sense of belonging and mental health mindfulness practices. This focus can serve as a powerful catalyst for expanding possibilities for the individual, their families, support teams, and out surrounding comunities.
