Program areas at We Share Foundation
The award winning hand-in-hand world service program funds 21 quota international service projects in 5 countries: fiji, india, malaysia, philippines, and suriname. These programs are run by local quota members who recognize the specific needs of deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals and women and children in their own communities. Projects include learn to earn, We Share bakery, building bridges for the deaf, stitch for a living, vocational training and special education, healthcare assistance, daycare centers for malnourished children, preschool and home for the aged, and rural development initiatives.
The civic engagement program enhances the lives of people in need through service and mission-based initiatives. Quota international volunteers partner with the We Share Foundation to mentor junior quota (jq) clubs, provide cops n' kids literacy programs, and healthy hearing awareness through the "listen up, turn it down" initiative and ear plug distributions to people of all ages within local communities.
The community champion program provides encouragement, leadership, and technology assistance to quota international volunteers working to provide solutions for those in need within their local communities.
