Program areas at Wesley Community Center
Wesley health Center seeks to improve the health status of the Community by providing high quality integrated health services without regard to ability to pay. Culturally appropriate services are provided in medically indigent or underserved communities in a manner designed to reduce barriers to care. During the current fiscal year, the Center provided services to 6,812 unduplicated patients. About 58% of the Center's patients are uninsured and receive services on a sliding fee based on family size and income.
Wesley community/golden gate centers seek to improve Community wellness by providing a variety of essential services to low and moderate income individuals within our Community at three locations. These include after- school and summer youth programs, senior programming, sewing and gardening classes, and fitness and nutrition classes. Wesley also provides meeting and/or service delivery to our Community. During the current year, we provided services to 86 children in our after-school and summer programs. 9,674 free meals were served by the Community kitchen.
