Historicity of the BibleProgram Description:To provide education about parallels between archeological and theological evidence and the historicity of the Bible.2013 Accomplishments:West Coast Torah organized and completed a succesful conference of history and archeology professors in association with a California university. The conference was attended by interested community members, religious leaders, and academics.
Educational programsDescription:To provide group classes on various Jewish subjects for synagogue attendees wishing to further their knowledge of Judaism.2013 Accomplishments:West Coast Torah has sucessfully provided and organized 3-5 group classes per week on Jewish subjects including study of the Torah, Book of Psalms, Talmud, Aggadah, and Ethics. The synagogue aims to organize more classes and attract more students in 2014 onwards.
Community prayer servicesDescription:To arrange and lead prayer services according to Jewish tradition.2013 Accomplishments:The synagogue has provided prayer books and led prayer services for synagogue attendees three times daily, seven days per week, including Sabbath and High Holiday services, throughout 2013 and ongoing.
