Provide for preventing, deterring, responding to and recovering from incidents of natural significance including terrorism and natural disasters. The grant is administered by the Michigan department of state police, emergency management and homeland security division. The organization oversees all grant activities in the 13 counties that make up region 6.

Muskegon Medical control authority regulates and oversees licensed life support agencies and personnel within muskegon county. The mission of mcmca is to promote, provide, encourage, and give the pre-hospital care professionals the tools necessary to provide the most up-to-date Medical knowledge and treatment options by empowering each pre-hospital care provider with psychomotor and cognitive skills so they might be able to deliver the best professional, compassionate, and appropriate care for each patient that is served by this Medical control authority.
