Program areas at Western States Center

Momentum: equipping communities and institutions to be resilient in the face or organized bigotry, the momentum program is a leading voice on countering white nationalism in america. Momentum partners with those at the state, local, and national levels who share our commitment to shrinking space for hate and violence, creating new tools and innovative methods designed in concert with each community and coalition we support. Common good: the common good program works to build awareness of the threat antisemitism poses to american democracy. We work with civic leaders, artists, creatives, philanthropists, students, and faith and community leaders to develop the leadership skills and insights needed to build broad-based, democracy minded coalitions, especially across racial, religious, and ethnic difference, to neutralize the ongoing threat of antisemitism to all americans. Culture lab: Western States Center's culture lab program works with artists, influencers, and visionaries to embrace their place at the table of our democracy. Our culture shift projects, and artist cohorts offer a laboratory for increasing civic engagement, shifting narratives, and communicating visions of an inclusive future to broad audiences.
