Program areas at Western States Communication Association
Sponsor the 2023 annual convention in phoenix, az in february. The convention attracted 469 participants who attended and shared Communication research in over 100 panels, programs, and workshops. Awards were given to honor outstanding research, distinguished services by members, model Communication programs and outstanding scholarships presented by first-time participants.
Publication of "Communication reports" 3 times a year electronically, as well as 1 publication per year in print; includes over 35 brief data-based research articles in Communication. In addition to libraries, approx. 1000 people receive this journal. Revenues are computed the following way: 3/5 of the subscriptions for the two journals, journal exchange revenues and from other regional associations, permission fees for reprints of articles, revenues from ebsco and taylor and francis for library online availability of the wsca archive of publications.
Publication of the "Western journal of Communication" 5 times a year including over 40 articles annually. Articles focus on Communication and welcome all methodologies and releveant topic areas. In addition to libraries, aprrox. 1000 people receive the journal. Revenues are computed the following way: 5/8 of the subscription revenues for the two journals, journal exchange revenues from other regional associations, permissions fees for reprints of articles, revenues from ebsco for library online availability of the wsca archive of publications.
