Program areas at Westminster Christian Academy
Within WCA's Lower School, WCA provided Christian education to 187 pre-school students using the A-Beka, Bob Jones, Shurley Grammar, Novel Studies, and Summit curricula. WCAs' pre-schools are grades K3, K4, and K5 (kindergarten) on both the Opelousas campus and Lafayette campus. Both the Opelousas and Lafayette campuses are members of the Association of Christian Schools International and Cognia. WCA provided Christian education to 405 elementary school students using the A-Beka, Bob Jones, Shurley Grammar, Novel Studies, Nystrom Geography, and Summit curricula. WCA's elementary school consists of grades 1-6 on both the Opelousas campus and Lafayette campus. The Opelousas and Lafayette elementary schools are dually accredited with ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) and Cognia, as well as state approved K5-6.
WCA provided Christian education to 149 middle school students across both the Opelousas campus and the Lafayette campus. The Opelousas and Lafayette middle school is dually accredited with ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International and Cognia, as well as state approved. In addition to the state required courses, students were offered Latin, Algebra, Art I, and Computer Literacy. Middle school is defined as grades 7-8.
WCA provided a Christian education to 224 high school students across both the Opelousas campus and the Lafayette Campus. The Opelousas and Lafayette high schools are ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) and Cognia, as well as state approved 9-12. In addition to the state required courses, WCA offers college preparatory, honors, dual enrollment, and advanced placement courses. High school is defined as grades 9-12. Both the Opelousas and Lafayette campuses are members of the Education Records Bureau, the Association of Christian Schools International, National Student Council Association, and National Honor Society Association. The Opelousas and Lafayette campuses are both members of the LHSAA.
