The Westminster Fire Engine and Hose Co. No. 1 provides quality emergency services to the communities we are entrusted to protect and serve. Our mission is to provide for the safety and welfare of our community with the combined team efforts of our members, the local government organizations, and the citizens through prevention, preparation, and protection. We provide these services 24/7 365 in a safe, prompt, and professional manner. The company responded to 7,235 emergency responses, a five percent increase over last year's runs. Our members are very active within their community by educating numerous community groups and schools on Fire prevention. Our members participated in community events such as national night out, camp cops, and the 4h fair. We have a very active junior firefighter program in which our adult leaders educate and prepare our youth to serve in the Fire service. Seventy-six of our Fire personnel recorded over 2,800 hours of individual training, ensuring the most effecient and effective service possible.
