Special needs - mindful creative Art and finding the hidden artist within: classes taught to people with dementia and alzheimer's, giving them a way to connect through Art. Recycled Art show and exhibit: this event has been a huge success over ten years drawing on hundreds of surprise residents for great local festival. Free summer Art classes through june for kids out of school, and also, youth with disabilities and adults. We taught over 400 children along with adaptive young people and adult organizations over four years with painting, mixed media and clay projects. Funding coming from individuals from our apples for Art. Multiple Art exhibits to allow the public to see the Art created by our students. Art classes: veterans Art- a path to healing a free program giving veterans with ptsd a year-long Art course from Wham's professional artists, doing 2 classes a month, now into its 9th year. Many veterans have attended from the beginning of our program. They now do projects for Wham when we need a group to volunteer. Witnessed over 7 years of doing classes with our veterans with ptsd. Adaptive Art & memory care classes to assist those with special needs in developing physical and cognitive skills. Most of all, Wham is providing a connection to our community through the arts and is: inclusive, not exclusive.
