Description
Wheels for Winners fixes donated bikes to give to kids and adults who perform community service. They refurbish the bikes and distribute them through an earn-a-bike program, where bike earners complete volunteer service in order to earn a refurbished bike, new bike lock, and new bike helmet. In 2023, they distributed 398 bikes to earners along with 349 helmets and 286 locks. The organization also provides in-service bike repair training sessions for staff at community centers to learn basic bike maintenance, having already trained ten staff members to maintain fleets of 60+ bikes.
