Wichita Animal Action League

For 10 years, waal's mission has been to prevent and mitigate crises for animals, their owners and the community by proactively addressing overpopulation. We provide education and support for responsible pet ownership. We foster and facilitate adoption of at-risk animals and most importantly through our various community programs, we work every day to keep animals with their families and out of shelters and rescues. Outlined below are several achievements from 2023 that contributed towards fulfilling our mission: - 830 animals saved and adopted to loving homes - 1,480 spay/neuter surgeries done on community pets through our spay it forward program. We are on track to complete 3,000 surgeries in 2024 . - 175,000 pounds of food distributed to families and pets in need through our pet food bank - 900 animals vaccinated against rabies, parvo and distemper through our free vaccination clinics - 550 families and pets assisted in planeview through our pets for life program
