Promoting the arts through the annual art battle. The Wichita Falls Art Association held three Art Battle events in 2023. The State Championship Art Battle held March 4 at the Ag Barn at the MPEC. For this event, there were 12 competitors, two pre-show artists, 34 volunteers and artists guests, with 367 additional attendees.The second event was a local battle held June 23 at Legend's Roadhouse. For this event, there were 12 competitors, two pre-show artists, 29 volunteers and artists guests, with 255 additional attendees.The third event was a local battle held November 10 at Legend's Roadhouse. For this event, there were 12 competitors, 22 volunteers and artists guests, with 208 additional attendees.
The Wichita Falls Art Association Gallery provides a medium in which the public can view visual art forms by local artists, including fine art in all mediums as well as artisan crafted ceramics, stained glass, mosaics, jewelry, wearable art, and more.
