In 2022, Wild Bird Fund celebrated its tenth anniversary since opening its wildlife rehabilitation clinic. Wbf treated a record 9,583 birds and other wildlife in 2022, providing medical intervention, supportive care, and hospitalization to assist its wildlife patients recover from injuries and illnesses and, in the case of orphaned babies, raising them to adulthood. Care was provided seven days a week, 365 days a year. Our dedicated team of veterinarians, wildlife rehabilitators, animal care managers and volunteers evaluated each patient every day throughout its stay, providing x-rays, diagnostic tests, surgery, splinting, bandaging, antibiotics, pain killers, treatment for lead poisoning, physical therapy, specialized diets and rehabilitative care. When the wildlife patients were fully recovered, they were released back to the Wild.
