Program areas at Wild Horse Connection Corporation
Diversionary Feeding Program - In the late summer food sources for the wild horses are depleted. The wild horses come down from the range and into increasingly populated neighborhoods. The diversionary feeding program helps to keep the wild horses off the streets and on the range.
Training - Rescued range horses require training so they can find homes and be used for community education therapy and support
Veterinary fees and supplies - The wild horses on the Virginia Range live in very rugged terrain with natural dangers. Their territory is also increasingly occupied by people bringing additional hazards from motor vehicles and residential fencing. Veterinary services are needed on a weekly basis along with supplies to provide rehabilitation.
